1967, Born on this day, Evan Dando, guitar and vocals for The Lemonheads.
The Lemonheads basically had 1 killer album, “Its a Shame About Ray”. Here they did the fabulous cover of “Mrs Robinson”, they were right on the edge of being something great then poof.. done.
Dando still tours solo, and we would love to speak to him sometime soon. Seems he could know details on our boy, Elliot Smith.
We should have thrown him a surprise birthday party!
Damnit.. maybe next year.
