Green Day's Silly Video For 'Stray Heart' Off Their Album '¡Dos!'

This new Green Day video is so bizarre, it superficially has the look of a sci-fi B-movie, or an anti-smoking ad ,.. yeah I wonder why this heart on legs is smoking so much??

The story follows a womanizer and heartless man who is trying to reach the heart of a woman with Green Day records, but since he has no heart – and when it is a Green Day video, you have to literally visualize it: there is a giant hole in his cavity chest! – the seductive game doesn’t work out very well. The wandering-eye guy actually finds his heart in the bed of another woman, and the organ is smoking as if there was no tomorrow! The guy tries to catch it back, running in the streets, following it in bars and strip clubs… the whole thing is really stupid, and even though the song is super catchy-poppy, you have heard it a million times before!

‘Stray Heart’ comes from the band’s latest album, '¡Dos!', which is due to be released on November 12. I haven’t had the time to listen to it really well, despite the fact that you can stream the whole thing on Soundcloud (see below), but if every song has the same inoffensive tone, I am already bored! It’s not a few ‘fuck’ in the lyrics and a frontman in rehab that is gonna make it punk-er, Green Day has become one really harmless band.

And remember, ¡Dos! is the second  of a trilogy, and the third album, ¡Tré!, will hit stores on December 11th.
