Well you didn't think these guys would let it go without touring didja? Now their legions of fanatics can scream out the lyrics with this 'punk' band. Before I list the dates though, lets get one thing straight. Green Day are not punk. They never were and they never will be. They are a 3 pc (really 4) rock band who have been around for decades have done little to nothing with their fame and who serve up the same stale bread with each new release.
You love them cuz they make you feel rebellious. You think they're amazing cuz you were too late for real punk and to early for real hardcore. You're stuck in the white bread files of rock and roll and you're happy there. So rejoice, your band is coming to town- time to score some Bud Light and rock out.
One night in Brooklyn. Wheres the Prudential? Wheres MSG? How sweet was that deal to put them at Barclays? Sweet I'm sure- but you have to hand it to Green Day they are very good at scoring a buck. Why such hate? I wont lie there was a time I like Green Day, but they lost me right after Dookie- why? Cuz they didn't try. Happily there are enough fans to carry them on their journey to mega super duper stardom and I'm stoked for you.
Here are the dates. I'm sure presale info is forthcoming as are a zillion VIP package deals where you can shell out hundreds of dollars for a fake laminate and a signed poster..woo!
