Back in November George Michael was battling pneumonia in Austria, and fortunately he survived, but he was so ill that his friends and family had joined him, really worried about his life. People die from pneumonia, it is serious.
He has now revealed on Twitter that a Christian group, CFAMA (Christians For A Moral America) was not exactly hoping for his recovery:
‘Speaking of which, did you know that while I was fighting for my life in Austria there were a bunch of those lovely American 'Christian' …’‘organisations, who call themselves "Christians for a Moral America", who were actually taking the time to pray for me to die…check this out’
‘How very sweet of them, considering how busy they must be on the whole..’
CFAMA had also taken to Twitter to suggest the WHAM man was dying of AIDS, and was certainly close to death:
‘Pray for George Michael's demise. He has chosen a satanic lifestyle and must meet an appropriate end.’
‘Apparently George Michael has AIDS. Figures since he's a homosexual and it goes with the territory. Another sodomite bites the dust?’
Wow, they are even taking Freddie Mercury in their hatred. What can be added? These people shouldn’t even be called human, but unfortunately they are. And this kind of message from religious groups is hardly coming from fringe organizations once you realize what comes from the mouth of certain republican candidates who compare homosexuality to incest or bestiality. This message is mainstream and highly encouraged by some candidates’ endorsement of this sort of abominable crap.
Fortunately, Michaels is feeling better, and he gave a news conference infront of his home, looking thinner than usual but in good spirits:
‘I'm very weak but I feel amazing. It was by far the worst month of my life, but I'm incredibly, incredibly fortunate to be here’.
He even wants to play a show for the doctors who saved his life!
