As the British invasion of SNL continues apace on this terrible season of Saturday Night Live, the figures break down as follows: Radiohead did, Coldplay didn't… play a local gig before their nationally televised performance. And, so watcha gotta ask yourself is: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?
If you do, Florence Welch will warm up at a local venue and if you are REALLY lucky it won't be Roseland and T5.
I've yet to see the band live, for some reason, and despite loving "Kiss With A Fist" -a sorta better sung Lily Allen rep, I missed out on 2009's Lung and didn't bother with the concert. This year I wasn't caught unawares and Ceremonials is one of the best albums of the year (it's better than the first). So will we see her before the set?
And will she suck live? With lungs like Welch's, it makes every sense in the world to let the singing do the work for you and catching the tape of her performance on Jools Holland's Limey show, I gotta feeling you're gonna have to meet her at least half way.
Time is running out thugh, so cmon Welch, let's see you rehearse in front of us!
