Every Saturday, my co-editor and I join forces for SNL by Iman and Hel. I hate the musical guests, Iman loves em, we battle like an old married couple, and then I post the results.
But a horrific reality of what is about to occur. I have checked, double checked attempted to time subway travel thought of clock turning and for a brief moment wondered if I were to crash NBC’s studios at 30 Rock I could somehow delay the inevitable.
What's my beef?
Elton John is not only the musical guest on Saturday Night Live tomorrow, he is the host. Mr. John’s ego has grown larger than his ass and well this to me proves it so. Since when has Sir Elton held any acting or comedy cred? Rocket Man what the hell are you doing?
So why my Iman rant? Cuz that guy is going to be dancing while standing on a chair at Madison Square Garden with LCD Soundsystem, while I’m dealing with this asshole and his horrific toupee’.
Think I’m exaggerating? Regarding the chair dancing I assure you Iman would. As for the Elton is an asshole, I present to you the clip of crap below. Elton John is now apparently Benny Hill. The difference is Benny at least gave us some scantily clads where as I doubt strongly Elton will.
Curses.
Leon Russell will be joining Elton during the musical portion- during which I will be praying the Rosaries for strength to not take my own life from the torture I predict.
I love Elton John. Well I love pre 1980 Elton John. The times changed and he just became more and more a parody. My hope is I am dead wrong, that he will be funny and fit in properly and that the audience won’t be forced into courtesy laughter. So help me God if the humor rests on his homosexuality I could well go insane.
