Duncan Sheik postpones first week of Tour To Enter Rehab

Duncan Sheik has postponed the first week of his current tour to enter rehab for an addiction to alcohol.

Sheik is known for his outstanding musical production in the Broadway show Spring Awakening.  Both Leah Michelle and Jonathan Groff recieved critical acclaim and fame for their performances.. The show which is an adaptation of a 1891 German play focuses on the sexual taboos of abortion, rape and homosexuality and more in a teenagers world.  Originally banned in Germany the show received rave reviews with its 'alternative' styled musical score by Sheik.  The musical won Tony Awards for best musical and best score.

Aside from his scoring work for film and theater Sheik has had a long and successful career as a solo artist begriming in 1996 with "Barely Breathing".  It is quite interesting that he is only postponing the first week of his tour and resuming June 20th in California.  Lets hope his recovery and rehabilitation is that speedy.
