Did Lana Del Rey really perform at Kanye West-Kim Kardashian for free? Over the weekend the two tied the knot with great pomp, flying from Versailles to Florence if I have followed correctly, and Lana Del Rey performed a few songs in a gold-lamé dress at Louis XIV’s old place. What a scene of a past grandeur! A scene worthy of the absolute monarchy, which, should I remind Kanye, did fuel the beginning of very bloody revolution,… but I digress.
According to previous reports, Del Rey was supposedly paid an astonishing $2.8 million to sing like four songs? Not a bad deal. However, the Born to Die singer denied the whole thing to TMZ while she was doing some signing of her album. ‘I would never let a friend pay me to sing at a wedding’, she declared… Really? Lana and Kim/Kanye are friends? It’s interesting because they hang out together about.. never? We surely would have heard about it because TMZ-People-E!-Gawker and the tabloids are a.l.w.a.y.s on their backs.
So the wedding singer, a role that Adam Sandler played when he was still a bit funny, claims she didn’t receive a penny!! Which was extremely generous of her. Err,…Born to die, born to lie, I don’t buy it! None of these people do anything for free, West and Kardashian would not lift their pinky toe before getting paid! They are making $21 million off their stupid wedding, can you believe this? According to Hollywood Life, E! taped most of it in exchange of $15 million for Kim’s retarded reality show, and there are also the exclusive pictures, taken by authorized photographers, which will be sold millions…. And you think Lana would be stupid enough to not ask for a few bucks?
Anyway, this is a total win-win situation, the fact that everybody is talking about her performance at the wedding of the century, is excellent publicity.
