Well wait no more-if you have been wondering about the state of hardcore music wonder no more. While many bands are going retro and almost replicating the 'hair metal' 80s, bands like The Devil Wear Prada are taking things to the next level. Beautifully.
Well worth the wait and well worth purchase comes "Dead Throne", potentially the hardcore album of the year. From the opening song title tracks sing along to the insanity of "Forever Decay" this is a non stop, non lull writhing slamming bashing sweating passionate escape. There is no coming up for air, there is no pause. As relentless as a runaway train it will simply knock you on your ass and steam roll over you.
And you'll like it.
There is a fine line for someone like me between music and noise. The Devil Wears Prada keep music artful and meaningful. Stand out tracks in a sea of awesome? "Pretenders", Chicago" and "Hold Fast".
I can't wait for the release (cuz yes I buy music) and I cannot wait for the supporting tour. Great stuff
