Check out DCFC on Kimmel. Why is this band not more popular? How did we forget them after "I Will Possess Your Heart'? Shame on the music public for not giving this guys some props.
Evident here is that there is no flashy showbiz. Just a band of gruff guys sorta making music. No show. But musically its almost enlightening. Gibbards voice, which can at times be confusing and odd- has never sounded more confident.
This is a band who will never win fans with their live show- but who can and should increase their market share based on the intelligent lyric and unique sound.
Kimmel on the other hand is winning the musical guest award of 2011. There was a time when Conan was the mack daddy of cool music guests – hell Kimmel got his own mega stage dedicated to tunes so he wins. God knows SNL isn't holding a candle to them.
