Sure, I’m a huge David Bronson fan, I’ve written about him often and have been hugely impressed with Story and The Long Lost. The 70s influenced, prog-rock pop whirligig of ansswers and questions and romance has been, nailed us with two albums that stand among the best of the decade.
I am such a big fan that over time, I actually became a friend as well. And as such, David sent me an early copy of his third and best album Questions (as in a bird singing doesn’t ask why though Bronson certainly does ask and often and he answers them as well). The album is lyrically the first two albums equal, but in all other ways Questions is a magnificent match of song, melody, performance and vibe. It is just a great great vibe, with producer Godfrey Diamond and lynchpin Robbie Seahag still here and Carlos Alomar and Robin Clark joining the team of music fans and friends and musicians in creating something really quite wonderful.
I don’t want to say much more at this time because the album isn’t being released till January 13th, 2015, but this is a biggie. A full on masterpiece. and already the album to beat in 2015. Plus, man, can Robin sing.
