Courtney Love Owes Almost $50,000 To Her Psychiatrist

Didn’t Kim Gordon say that Courtney Love might be mentally ill? The exact quote, an excerpt of her book, ‘Girl in a band’ goes like this:

‘No one ever questions the disorder behind her tarantula LA glamour — sociopathy, narcissism — because it’s good rock and roll, good entertainment! I have a low tolerance for manipulative, egomaniacal behavior, and usually have to remind myself that the person might be mentally ill.’

And we have now the proof that Love has some serious mental disorder, as, according to Page Six, she owes $48,250 to Dr. Edward Ratush a psychiatrist… sure she was probably seeing him to treat her opiate dependency but I always like to remind everyone how insane this woman is, and I am sure I am not too far from the truth. Dr. Ratush says that the Hole singer owes him a lot of money and he has taken action, filling papers for breach of contract, according to Manhattan Supreme Court.

And when it comes to treatment, Dr. Ratush does cover all the basis, According to Rolling Stone, he ‘specializes in helping people who suffer from Mood Disorders such as depression and mania, Anxiety Disorders such as panic attacks, obsessive compulsive disorder and PTSD, Arousal Disorders such as insomnia, fatigue, shift work disorder and Adult ADHD’ and provides ‘comprehensive, private, innovative and personalized treatment for mental health and substance use disorders.’

But Dr. Ratush is a bit unconventional and uses transcranial magnetic stimulation to cure all kinds of mood disorders and even mental illnesses, which is not totally out there, since the functioning of our brain is part chemical, part electric and TMS induces small electric currents inside the brain. Nobody can tell what kind of treatment Love had undergone but TMS is mostly used as a treatment for major depression, bipolar depression, and a number of other neuropsychiatric disorders, and according to this Scientific American article, ‘TMS therapies often include 20 to 30 sessions, at a total cost of between $6,000 and $10,000’; this suggests she must have done 4-5 of them? In any case, one thing is sure she didn’t pay!
