Corin Tucker: Ca Plain Pour Toi by Alyson Camus

Ex-Sleater-Kinney, Corin Tucker is releasing her first solo album, ‘1,000 Years’, on Kill Rock Stars and Pitchfork has a free track to download, ‘Riley’:

Although I have never been a fan of Sleater-Kinney, it’s a very enjoyable one and really not unfamiliar, right away. It will remind you early punk with its fast bouncing guitars and typical Corin Tucker’s vocals, which can reach high notes.

I would say that the guitar solo toward the end of the song reminds me the 70’s hit ‘Ça plane pour moi’, but this is probably because the news brought back this song to my memory recently.
