And with this video all the best things in life come together in a smashing remix remodel of Icona Pop’s masterpiece “I Love It’ hat in the ring for the song of the summer which finds em just behind Robin and Daft Punk and ahead of Miley.
Mostly that’s the reason we have joined together today, the Cookie Monsters insatiable desire for teenage bo… I mean cookies in this high end smart and fun lesson in self denial.
Without getting too far over the top about it all, Cookie’s desire works like addiction and his do anything is always a suggestion of self-restraint at the same time while Icona Pop’s hit as all the exhilaration of a car wreck. It is like a refiguration of Graham Parker’s “Crawling From the Wreckage” added to David Cronenbergs 1996 movie “Crash”.
This is all stuff Mr. Monster understands instinctively even as it tries to maintain himself on the SS parody “Me Want It (But Me Wait)”.
