Conor Oberst & Desaparecidos More Dates For the Weary

Oh rejoice!  The drought is over!  The panic the sorrow the down right clinical depression brought on by the elusive king of the emotional wrecks, Conor Oberst.   Oh look how excited he is even in this photo!!

Fall to your knees fans theyre back.  After nearly 10 years of hermitized demiGod status, Oberst did a burst (get it!?) of shows with all his favorite incarnation, he’s like Barbie.  There’s punk Oberst, folksie Oberst, rocker Oberst, poet Oberst and what I witnessed guitar plucking sing a story time Oberst.

Earlier this year the band put out its second  recording – a double A-side single featuring “Anonymous” and “The Left is Right.”  Desaparecidos’ take on The Occupy Movement and the “hacktivist” group Anonymous, and it’s  available through the band’s website as an instant digital download and a seven-inch single. Both options include a digital booklet (PDF) with lyrics and original art by Zack Nipper. Oh and of course, there is vinyl (which comes with an instant MP3 download of the tracks), I’m surprised it doesn’t come with a latte’ as well.

Desparecidos is actually the best of the lot in my opinion.  But I just cant get past the doe eyed wimpering Oberst enough for me to not want to shake him and say ‘get the fuck over it and move on’.

Fear not East Coast, you still have some time to whine ‘poor us’ as the tour is still concentrated on the West side- no worries though, the guy gotta come home- stay tuned for the inevitable additional dates.
