The calls of Charli ring though the crowd just like the droplets on my cell phone. Charlie XCX is a bonafida pop star in 2015 and while I was less than excited by her Jingle Ball. I am far from the only person at Governors Ball to arrive a little early. Starting with an electrified with “Sucker” this is hot pop punk. Strumming a huge inflatable plastic guitar and moving like Josie and the Pussycat, she nails “I Love It” although not as well as Icona Pop two years ago at the same festival. Charli is a nice little mover with a sharp attitude. A sort of really good Avril Lavigne. I liked her fine Grade: B
