Can We Get The Truth About Morrissey And His Label Once For All?

Can you follow anything in the Morrissey-label saga? Because I can’t. Every day there is a new statement which contradicts the previous one. First, there  was the news that he was dropped from his record label Capitol-Harvest, then the following day another announcement coming from Billboard magazine saying he wasn’t! Someone close to the label has revealed he was still under contract, but now this, coming from Morrissey’s fan site, True to You, contradicting again the previous statement:

‘In response to Andrew Flanagan’s incorrect report for Billboard online (15 August 2014), both Morrissey and Morrissey’s lawyer are in possession of email correspondence from Steve Barnett (head of Capitol-Harvest Records), and also from Steve Barnett’s personal assistant, both of whom confirm that Capitol-Harvest have ended their relationship with Morrissey. No recording Agreement with Capitol-Harvest was ever signed by Morrissey, and Morrissey retains full ownership of World Peace is None Of Your Business. Contrary to the assured Billboard report, Capitol-Harvest have very clearly stated that they would have no interest in licensing a second album by Morrissey. Russells (London), who represent Morrissey, are presently concluding Morrissey’s relationship with Harvest Records.

Once again, Morrissey is in search of a new label.’

My head is spinning, and can we finally get the truth? Why are we running in circles like this? If you go to the Harvest Records website or Capitol Records website, and click on artists, there is no Morrissey in view… Plus the mystery thickens as the website World Peace is None of Your Business has disappeared, I am just saying.
