The Killers are a great rock band with some fun lyrics. Their hook? Vocalists Brandon Flowers unique sound it can hit a near yodel sound. Charismatic and fun The Kilers have established themselves as a band in it for the long haul
So what's this about?
Brandon Flowers has taken on the role of spokesman for the Church of Mormon. Not may religions or Churches advertise. Aside from Scientology celeb presence I can't think of another with such visual push.
The video below is part of the new ad campaign. I'm on the fence. I don't care enough about others beliefs to be offended but I can see how some 'fans' could be. I certainly won't say 'hey hes Mormon!! I'm gonna be one too!!"
Its odd- and it's rather perplexing.
Quoting the Flowers in the below video
"There are a lot of connotations that come along with pop music and rock music, and its usually sex driven or money driven," "I realised early on that wasn't the road for me, maybe because of the foundations that were laid early on, or my mum and dad taking me to church."
He adds: "I've definitely even as I've gotten older gotten more cautious about lyrics. I feel like I want to be a positive force in the world and I want to uplift people."
