We have been in a bit of a Gaga drought lately. Don’t worry its about to end AND we get to add a bit of Oprah to the mix.
The singer and the yapper are embarking on the official unveiling of the “Born This Way Foundation”.
Described as “nonprofit aims to help youth with issues including self-confidence, well-being, anti-bulling, mentoring and career development. Gaga and her partners want to create a culture that celebrates kindness, bravery, acceptance and empowerment. In other words, a world where everyone can be the person they were born to be.”
In partnership with John D and Catherine T MacArthur Foundation, The California Endowment and the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University to launch the foundation. This is a great thing considering how much cred can any organization have when led soley by a caricature?
The official launch will be Feb. 29 at Harvard University’s Sanders Theatre in Cambridge, Mass., as part of the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Askwith Forum. Aside from Oprah guests include author and speaker Deepak Chopra, U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius, and Charles Ogletree, Harvard Law School’s Jesse Climenko Professor of Law and Director of the Charles Hamilton Houston Institute for Race and Justice.
