Everybody got surprised at this idea, it is true it was quite unexpected, and something that doesn’t really come to mind when Record Store Day is upon us, but after thinking about it, it totally makes sense: isn’t getting laid a big motivation in the process of making music?
According to Pitchfork which got it from Dragcity, on Saturday April 21, record stores were selling Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy condoms!

When it comes to Record Store Day surprises, you sure can't beat a condom, with which to carry your most precious limited-edition Record Store Day release.’
It is supposed to look like the picture above and I have no idea why there is an Oscar statue inside! Does this mean men should get an Academy Award for wearing a condom? Is Will Oldham now supporting Planned Parenthood, or is his music supposed to encourage safe sex, … That said, I don't understand why people were surprised as the guy has a few songs openly talking about sex. Just to give two examples, Oldham wrote ‘So Everyone’, a song all about oral sex with this line ‘Oh kneel down and please me/Oh lady, oh boy, show how you want me, and do it so everyone sees me …sees that you love me’, and another song with that unexpected graphic title for an indie guy ‘You Have Cum in Your Hair and Your Dick is Hanging Out’!
