Bob Seger just cant seem to let it go. A slave to the rock stage the elder gentry is hobbling up on stage this fall for some "Night Moves" after the early bird dinner special.
Bob has been around so long that I have disliked him for decades now. It never fails to amaze me that not only did he have fans 'way back when' but he also has enough fans willing enough to dip into their social security checks to go see him now.
The ability of Mr. Seger to perform is an amazing event in my eyes. With catalogs full of material I'm sure the crowd still goes nuts for his massive hits. What was it about this man that made him so popular? More than that, who the heck would go see this tobacco stained old geezer anyway?
I know I slammed Ian Anderson before seeing him live and took it all back. He was outstandingly. Seger? Live or recorded just cant win me over as a fan- but theres a heap of folks who dig him. Actual dates have not been offered yet but new is he will go 'coast to coast', Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Tampa, Orlando, Dallas, Denver, Vancouver and New York.
