As Alyson wrote there is news of a compilation to celebrate Bob Dylan's 70th birthday and Amnesty International's 50th Anniversary. Strange wedding there but whatever works I suppose.
Two bands participating have jumped up and waved there arms.
First up Rise Against, the band that tours non stop who you have seen maybe 30 times and simply don't remember. Rise Against has toured with every band on Earth so actually really excited for them to be involved here. "The Ballad of Hollis Brown", will be Rise Against' contribution and to quote Tim McIIrath
"I'm kind of a born-again Bob Dylan fan, I'll be honest… I grew up in a punk rock/hardcore world where it wasn't cool to listen to folk music, so I'm just now discovering a lot of amazing artists. Bob Dylan was one I passed on in the past, but now I'm digging into his catalogue and really appreciate his stuff."
The next band up is none other than our faves Bad Religion. Epitaph Records fearless leader Bret Guerewitz announced they're in the works recording but have not announced which song they will be covering.
No others have been announced but honestly… I don't think it matters.
