Blur, my new favorite old band! Yeah, not sure how I missed these guys but I'm glad I found them. Had they not reunited for the Summer Olympics I may never have discovered them.
Now Blur is back in demand more than ever. Their die hard fans rejoicing and demanding more. So the guys are tossing out a bone. A live CD/DVD combo pack in it will be full footage of the band’s Olympic games closing show this summer at London’s Hyde Park, as well as its audio counterpart on two CDs ; two other CDs will contain the album Live At The 100 Club, an intimate gig from August; and the last CD will contain another collection of various live tracks captured during Blur’s 2012 tour. Parklive is set to be released on December 3rd.
The band has also released its box set '21'. They have also promised more tour dates but in true Blur fashion have given no indication of when it will be (or where). I'm sure there are American fans chomping at the bit and it would be somewhat cool to see them live should they cross the pond.
