Blue October, "Worry List" Video Review

Whoa. I really love Blue October.  Live or recorded they simply reach me. There is a lilt in Justin Furstenfelds lyrics that connect every time. I may not have lived his pain but I can empathize with it and wish it would release him.

A new video for "Worry List" has been released and if this were any other band and if I didn't know the back story I wouldn't have been so moved.  The song itself is beautiful  The tortured words of a broken family.  A fathers promise to his daughter.  "I may have been gone but I never walked out" his response for tour absences.

The video done in soft light with symbolic flash is peppered with photographs and home movies of Furstenfelds daughter, Blue.  A beautiful little girl with a wonderful father.  A campaign pioneer for fathers rights after his marriage ended less than amicably.  The video suits the song very well.

It will tug your heart but not make you gag- it's too real.  The song has resparked my love of Blue October, really why aren't they bigger yet?

Get on board, be brave enough to watch this gut wrenching.  It's actually empowering.
