Max Bemis performed a live acoustic version of the song "Say Anything". I generally like live versions more than original recordings, and this is no exception.
Bemis' voice is incredible and passionate. For a love song, it sure isn't mushy or cliche. I especially love the way he sings the line "I'd listen to a piercing squeal on a loop to make this real with you"; you can hear the intensity in his voice. He's an incredible guitarist, which I find that I overlook because I typically fall in love with his vocals. However, upon listening to this tune for the umpteenth time, I focused on the background sounds. Though it's only one instrument, it has a feel of depth that just isn't the same as the one on the record. I absolutely adore everything about this acoustic version.
