Beyonce Will Not Play In 'A Star Is Born' After All

If you couldn’t wait to see Beyoncé in Clint Eastwood’s upcoming remake of ‘A Star Is Born’, you are gonna be very disappointed, as she has just fallen out of the project. Black Film is reporting that the star’s schedule was way too packed for her to take the challenge to take Barbra Streisand’s role in the 1976 movie.

The star declared to E! News:

‘I was looking forward to the production of 'A Star Is Born' and the opportunity to work with Clint Eastwood. For months we tried to coordinate our schedules to bring this remake to life but it was just not possible. Hopefully in the future we will get a chance to work together.’

Yeah, she is way too busy doing fundraisings for Obama – don’t get me wrong, it’s a good thing – and Eastwood, well, he is not too found of Obama as everyone knows… but what am I implying? She is looking forward to work with him in the future!

There is no official word on who could replace her, nor on the main male role, played by Kris Kristofferson in the original version. But inside sources are saying that Esperanza Spaulding could replace Beyonce, at least Eastwood has shown some interest in the young jazz musician, and that Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Cruise, Christian Bale, Johnny Depp and, most recently, Bradley Cooper have been approached to play the male star!

Past the fact that Cruise would have had about zero chemistry face to Beyonce, please, not Cruise in a musical again! Haven’t we suffered enough with Rock of Ages?
