Beyoncé is Jesus

Haven’t our pop stars become way too powerful? Take Beyoncé, okay she has sold millions of her record in a record time, but does it mean she can do anything she wants? Anything like her last Instagram prowess? Now I don’t follow Beyoncé on Instagram, but it is difficult to avoid the picture right now, reposted everywhere, the picture of the Queen B posing in front of the Last Supper painting, blocking Jesus’ view! How dare she! I am all for blasphemy, but Beyoncé is a believer, she said it many times, so this has a totally different meaning, she is not denying the existence of the savior, she is taking the place of the savior… wow Beyoncé, what else do you want? Apparently, she also wants to use others’ drama in her pop songs. Her single ‘XO’ includes an audio sample from the 1986 space shuttle Challenger explosion, the one that killed the seven crew members… err that’s really bad taste, and not very well received by the NASA people and the families of the lost ones, who reacted immediately and told ABC News:

‘We were disappointed to learn that an audio clip from the day we lost our heroic Challenger crew was used in the song ‘XO.’ The moment included in this song is an emotionally difficult one for the Challenger families, colleagues and friends. We have always chosen to focus not on how our loved ones were lost, but rather on how they lived and how their legacy lives on today.’ […] This choice of historic and solemn audio is inappropriate in the extreme. The choice is little different than taking Walter Cronkite’s words to viewers announcing the death of President Kennedy or 911 calls from the World Trade Center attack and using them for shock value in a pop tune.’

Of course Beyoncé replied with a pre-made lip-synched statement:

‘My heart goes out to the families of those lost in the Challenger disaster. The song ‘XO’ was recorded with the sincerest intention to help heal those who have lost loved ones and to remind us that unexpected things happen, so love and appreciate every minute that you have with those who mean the most to you. The songwriters included the audio in tribute to the unselfish work of the Challenger crew with hope that they will never be forgotten.’

Unexpected things happen? I thought everything was happening for a reason, Beyoncé? Or at least this is what she repeated over and over in her HBO Documentary. Honestly, how can she think that playing this dramatic audio, probably tattooed forever in the brain of the families of the victims (while she is frolicking on the rides of Coney Island by the way) could possibly help heal these people who have lost their loved ones? She thinks everything belong to her and she can dispose…

Beyawnce’s every move is just another attempt to stay in the news, just like her visit to your ‘friendly neighborhood market’, in Tewksbury, just before Christmas! Anything goes to sell more copies of her album, even this make-believe of her shopping at Walmart and buying all this crap from China. But if she starts alienating Christians with her revised version of the Last Supper, she is gonna lose!
