We haven’t heard about him for quite some time, but Beck has just announced on his facebook page that he will playing the Santa Barbara Bowl with special guest Devendra Banhart on Thursday May 24th.
I have seen Beck in concert a few times in the past, and he was terrific each time, although not very communicative with his public, but who cares when you got a great performer? My best experience was this show he did at the tiny Echo many years ago, I got lucky and managed to get a ticket, went on line very early (but there were already tons of people), and got a great spot, so close to Beck it was dreamy.
That’s how every show should go, I don’t like big places and big Bowls, that’s why I am hoping for another announcement from Beck soon in an intimate club somewhere in Los Angeles,… are you listening Mr. Hansen?
But if you’re a big fan and want to go, tickets go on sale next Saturday, February 18th, at 11 am, and should be priced between $37 and $55 plus fees, according to Downtown Lobby.
Nevertheless, at the time I was written this, nothing was announced on the Ticketmaster page of the Barbara Bowl yet.
