Anthony Raneri, "Sandra Partial" live Reviewed

I find that every time I hear anything Anthony Raneri related, I become exponentially more impressed.

First off, I was terribly worried for he had posted this statement:
"I’ve spent the last 24 hours in the hospital in Orange County. I had an infection in my finger that spread through my hand. It’s totally stiff and painful. Really sorry to the fans that came out to SLO tonight to see me. Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it to San Francisco tomorrow either. Hoping to at least get up to Portland and Seattle to sing a few songs with my awesome tour mates playing guitar for me. Stay tuned"

This shows just how dedicated he is.  The fact that he would still go and sing in that much pain is so impressive and admirable.  The doctors have cleared him, so that's good news and he's set to go.  It came on pretty suddenly and it was lucky that he went to the ER immediately, or else who knows what could've happened?

I came across a video of Raneri performing a new song of his latest EP, Cathedrals titled "Sandra Partial".  I love the song recorded and it's always stuck out to me, and I'd never heard it live before until now.  I can honestly say it's a brilliant performance, and the best live recording that I've ever heard of him.  Every time I hear him, he just gets better.  There's absolutely nothing like pure, raw talent.  I literally cannot stop listening to it.

His voice is absolutely beautiful; he's undoubtedly one of my top three favourite vocalists simply because his voice is so unique and beautiful.  The tune is simple and catchy and lovable on the EP, but hearing him perform it makes it my new addiction.  His voice inflection at times adds so much more than any recording ever could because it's so genuine and spontaneous.  The guitar playing really accentuated the flawlessness of his performance because it's not overpowering and it fits.  It's so stunning to see such a positively perfect musician live and on any type of record or EP he's ever done.  No matter what, I am never disappointed by Anthony Raneri.
