Ironmen Walk the Earth
Ironmen Walk the Earth

They’ve been touring on and off since the excellent 13 was released last year and this is abbout as big a concert as they are gonna get. I missed out on years of Ozzyfest because I couldn’t be bothered hitching to the swamps of New Jersey. But the swamps of Brooklyn , Monday at Barclay Center? That I can  do.

Monday – Andre Cymone – Prince’s bassist when Prince was at the height of his powers makes a very rare appearance.

Tuesday – Kraftwerk – United Palance – Seminal electronic dance band from the 1970 still sound cutting edgeish

Tuesday – Ashanti – BB Kings – I wasn’t crazy about her new album, but she jas got a fine set of pipes and has managed to move well past ingenue stage.

Thursday – Miley Cyrus – Barclay Center – She’s back! Expect a lot of back up tapes and tongue pulling and odes to ecstasy.

Thursday – Pentatonix – Beacon Theater – Sing Off A Capella band winners sell out the Beacoin and “Daft Punk” is good enough to make you wonder if they deserve it.

Friday – Holy Ghost – Webster Hall – Top notch disco band

Saturday – Perfect Pussy – Mercury Lounge – Buzziest band in the world today and the LP is pretty damned loud
