Well now, remember I used to rave about Daytrotter? Yeah, well I didn't pay for their stuff so basically they no longer exist. In their spot is a new session site with a great new offering.
William Beckett, former The Academy Is.. leader steps up this time for an acoustic and solo performance of great quality. The host reminds me of Jonah Hill just a fuzzy hipster but he does a great job filling the air in a no flash way.
Watching made me remember how charismatic Becketts voice was. A handsome kid who got tangled up in the same ol 'Fueled For Ramen" scene of Fall Out Boy and just missed the mark. What a beautiful sound when the girls aren't screaming along.
Suddenly I am very excited to be covering his show in Hamden CT next month. Plans in the works to have a few words with William to discuss life changes and all that jazz.
This video is such a joy and its great to hear the filler banter. Strained a bit at times but fun and painless.
Its a stinking Vimeo so here is the link http://vimeo.com/38243201
