Well then, look whats gone and happened to Attack! Attack!. Have they gone sissy? We'll cover that in a bit first we will adress this video. Its interesting to see the bands tour adventures. As a person who has spent way to much time behind the curtain there are certain things that just stand out. I love the tour bus, so posh and well appointed, followed later by the band pushing their beat up chevy van out of the mud. This is the interseting thing about todays alt rocker, 1 tour your a star the next your duct taping the exhaust pipe back on your van. Its weird, and even when we discussed the headliner vs support position with Alan of Four Year Strong, found it a challenge to go from bride to bridesmade repeatedly.
Attack Attack has changed their sound. They have indeed softened. Some will say its Caleb protecting his voice (thats crap if ever) some will say its to broaden their appeal (new manager guys?) Regardless hard or soft this is a very good and very young band. They were a no show to the press at last years Warped Tour, I will say right off the bat that I found that to be a poor move, they never got another line out of me. But, theyre again on this years Warped, will they show up for words? Not sure but it would do them well to show up- if theyre expanding their sound to increase their turn out its a good idea to grab any time you can.. just a tip
So, "Last Breath", weak vocals amazing musicianship. If in fact Caleb is protecting his voice by reducing the scream and increasing the clean I suggest he find another band. Attack Attack, is a powerful band with a powerful future if they dont dick around with their genre. Maybe Caleb should start a Mayday Parade sort of band, or maybe someone should have a talk with him.. scream or get out of the scene.
