New Year Eve in Los Angeles seems to have piled up a large amount of shows and parties everywhere in the city, I give you this list which probably does not even compile everything:
– Wanda Jackson, Best Coast at Club Nokia, at the very reasonable price of $28.50. If you want old school with new school, together in the same bill.
– Pink Martini at the Walt Disney Concert Hall $69-209
– Cults and Jenny and Johnny at the Standard Hollywood: this one is really over the top too, $75 to $125!! I wonder whether there is a meal with champagne coming with that?
– Buzzzbands New Year Eve at the Satellite with The Henry Clay People, Races, LA Font, Jillinda Palmer/ Joe Napolitano, and Paulie Pesh in the upstairs bar. This one is really cheap! $10-12
– Give Up the Ghost at a secret location which is the Ukrainian Center I think,…. But this show has sold out in a flash about 3 months ago already!!
– Musiq Soulchild at the House of Blues, $67.50 to $2000!!! (No comment on that one)
– TR3 featuring Tim Reynolds, Marcus Eaton at The Mint $35-40
– LA Guns featuring Dilana at Whiskey A Go Go, $20
– Semi Precious Weapons and Warner Drive with Beta Wolf, Benvenue, Ope at the Roxy Theater, $25-45.
