Adam Lambert is visibly not impressed by the movie version of ‘Les Misérables’! According to the LA Times, the ex-American Idol candidate openly expressed his opinion about the film by using his Twitter account:
‘Visually impressive w great Emotional performances. But the score suffered massively with great actors PRETENDING to be singers’
Then, a few days later, he developed even more his lukewarm review:
‘Those raw and real moments when characters broke down or were expressing the ugliness of the human condition were superb. However, My personal opinion: there were times when the vocals weren't able to convey the power, beauty and grace that the score ALSO calls for.’
‘I guess I'm a purist for the original LIVE Broadway recording when the actors sang the …. outta those songs. JUST an opinion….’
‘I should prob stop fanning the flames on this one…but i love a good debate- couldnt help myself. One last thing though: Anne Hathaway was so good- had me tearing up. Oscar worthy performance for sure!’
He was prudent of course when he added it was just his opinion, Nevertheless, he expressed it to the whole wide world by tweeting it, and since everyone cares about any celebrity’s opinion, you have it! Lambert thought the singing sucked. Iman’s review was saying about the same thing a week ago. Personally, I hate musicals with a passion, so you would have to drag me to sit through a 3-hour-long musical, and if I hear that the cast can’t really sing at the top of everything, there is absolutely no hope.
