It is with a really heavy heart and howl of WHY! That i review the video by one of my teenage heartthrobs. I wasn't a fan of this song, for some reason its far too twangy. Reminds me a bit of Tom Petty and I don't really know why.
But it IS Adam Ant and he IS legend to me and there is a bit of good that comes of all this. So, hang tight while I get the bad stuff out of the way.
The Capn Crunch hat, son.. it gotta go. the rag is fine its actually good cuz I figure you're losing some hair but that hat? Really? Please don't make a parody of yourself its silly and it doesn't fit. Nor do your pants. Its ok to let it out a bit. No one expects you to be the tight package you were in '82, so its time to retire those pants. As for the rest of the get up- not great choices but nothing worth covering.
The dancing? Has Adam been hanging out with Axl Rose and Popeye cuz this awkward skip slid move is quite similar to the mash up of these dances. A big boy really has to watch his moves, no grace there- sorta embarrassing.
The lovely female back up singer who stands and sways to his right has a mans voice- how can that be?
This all being said…
Having heard the song again I really like it. Yeah, its a bit South Florida but it has a gritty twang now that I didn't at first appreciate. So I retract my former bad review and say.. Well Done AA!
Now. Put on some proper clothes and lets try this all again. Oh and do something about the drag queen singer.
