I can’t predict this one though Elvis Costello, one man show, Carnegie Hall, you have to assume he is gonna bring out the heavy arsenal, though when I saw him a coupla years ago doing a coupla songs solo I thought he wasn’t happening. And that entire the Roots deal was a major bummer. So I dunno, Helen bach liked him so… I guess we will see Wednesday!
Monday – Central Park Summerstage – Metropolitan Opera recital series – A yearly treat where opera lovers come out below the stars to see the greatest up and coming stars.
Tuesday – Tegan And Sara – Hammerstein Ballroom – The Indigo Girls should be so lucky
Wednesday – Wreckless Eric – Mercury Lounge – He’s travelled the whole wide world to be here tonight and always ta pleasure to see the Stiff veteran in action
Thursday – White Lung – Mercury Lounge – The new album is pretty damn good rough and tumble punk with a cool chick lead singer.
Friday – Ashanti – Stage 48 – One of the mid-90s better r&b singers
Saturday – Club Classix – Summerstage – Come alive, and at 3pm… should be fun.
Saturday – Say anything – Best Buy – Not crazy about Say Anything, but very interested to see the Front Bottoms in person.
Saturday – Avicii – Barclay Center – I wonder if he can pull it off live. avicii might ook the part but he doesn’t have a voice.
