The Saint Motel Guys have done it again: a new mini-movie for their song ‘Benny Goodman’ from their full length album ‘Voyeur’. Directed by A/J Jackson, the video was filmed in the Dresden in Los Angeles and features a little amazing guy who had already stolen the show when I saw them at the El Rey back in July.
Miles ‘Baby Boogaloo’ Brown’s little Jackson 5 look and old school break dancing was irresistible and he is once again the center of attraction in this new video, desperately trying to get the attention of adults by his acrobatic dancing and later by getting his own backup dancers.
A/J Jackson explained himself the story behind the video: ‘The concept for the video is inspired, like the song itself, by the tale of the Benny Goodman’s struggle for success. As Benny learned at the Palomar Ballroom in 1935, when no one else believes in you, when you can't go on, when the end is near…don't give up! Because that just might be your time to shine.’
So if you want your overload of cuteness, watch it, you may even recognize Derrick Tuggle, the star of The Black Keys' ‘Lonely Boy’ video… God, this was watched more than 20 million times, so let’s hope that the ‘Benny Goodman’ video will go viral too!
