Bret Michaels new album, “Good Songs & Great Friends”

Bret Michaels is still not dead.  I should say that right away.  I know that he has died about a million times, like more than a cat.  But between metal beams falling on his head, brain hemmorages and his diabetes its a wonder he can stop long enough to sing anything.  When you have that many brushes with your maker, its no wonder you'd have great friends!  And so it begins.

“Good Songs& Great Friends” includes a live duet with Jimmy Buffett  a cover of "Sweet Home Alabama" with Gary Rossington, Rickey Medlocke and Peter Keys from Lynyrd Skynyrd playing on the track.  Then of course, there is some new versions of of Poison's hits, including the remake of "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" with Loretta Lynn.  Say what?  I know new material is tough to find but really?  Poison remakes? Scary and awful.

Artists such as Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Michael Anthony of Van Halen/Chickenfoot, Leslie West of Mountain, Ace Frehley of Kiss/Frehley's Comet appear on the record, and of course the proverbial 'much more'.

“Good Songs & Great Friends” features 17 songs and, in addition to the artists mentioned, also features Miley Cyrus, Hugh McDonald (Bon Jovi), Bobby Capps (38 Special), Scot Coogan (Lita Ford), The Sheilds Brothers

Such a weird combination for such an odd man.  Don't worry, you have time to get stoked.  February 26th is the announced release date. Psyched yet?!
