The Rolling Stones To Play As The Cockroaches

The Cockroaches were the band that proceeded the children’s act The Wiggles.  They  played around Sydney Australia in the mid 80s and had a number of hits including 'She's The One' and 'Some Kind Of Girl'.
Anthony Field and John Fatt were the men who went on to become the annoying sound of every child’s joy.

The name actually came from the Rolling Stones.  That’s what the legends would call themselves when they did warm up shows in small venues

Guess what, they’re doing it again.  Hoping to play tiny venues The Stones are getting ready for their big four date tour.

Ron Wood discussed this with NME- which was dumb considering their reach.  The band will have to go by no name and no billing or ever fanatic Stonehead will be camped out at the neighborhood bar for a week.

Ron said, 'There's going to be little club gigs that we're gonna surprise ourselves to do as well, we'll bung a few in next week or the week after, so look out for any Cockroaches gigs or whatever! I don't know who we'll be billed as but we'll turn up somewhere and put a few to the test. Tiny, 200, 300 people kind of places.'

So there you have it.   Be on the lookout for a band of geezers at your local watering hole.  I cant imagine how they can do this discreetly but I suppose where there is a dollar to be made there is a mouth that can be sealed.
