This is highly regrettable, but this woman will never cease to exploit her husband’s dead body. According to various news outlets, if she gets her way, Courtney Love will produce a Broadway musical about her late husband Kurt Cobain. Actually it could be a play, or may be not,… ‘a possible motion picture or Broadway musical based on the Nirvana catalogue, based on her life and Kurt Cobain’s’ said Sam Lufti, Britney Spears’ former manager.
Surprisingly (or not) Courtney Love got involved with that shady guy, who is suing Spears’ parents and conservatorship for defamation. These two low-class individuals seem to be made for each other! Lufti recently claimed that Spears was addicted on crystal meth and tried to hide her drug habit by shaving her head, and is now seeking 15% of Spears’ earnings during the period that he worked for her, whereas Spears’ attorneys are saying he never worked for her in an official capacity.
But there is one thing I don’t understand in this story, as I read Love doesn’t own the rights of Nirvana songs anymore. As it was reported by the Guardian this year, she stepped down as manager of the company, and she ‘is not entitled to income from any new deals relating to Cobain’s image’. So how this could be possible? This is just another desperate attempt from a crazy woman to make money off a dead corpse, but I hope (and think) this will never see the Broadway lights.
