There are those among us who feel they need to make excuses for bad art. Low budget, no salary, bla bla, bla. You can achieve great things with very little means and trust me when I say you can be fantastically committed to an endeavor with no financial gains.
I may have found Grindermans video cliche' and mundane but the director was kind enough to give us her words on the piece. Thanks for stopping buy. I don't respond because I honestly believe everyone is entitled to have their say. That's why we keep the comment section up. Good or bad say what you want and unless you threaten or make no damn sense and are trolling- you get your words.
Now back to video. Cradle of Filth, is not only a great name for a band but its a band with an amazing history and no real stardom. They plod along playing their nitch and they do very well. So what's up with the new video?
The video is silly but for the first time there is only implied rape instead of strippers, so well done! The song is great there is no denying that Cradle of Filth still owns their brand. Alot of people bitch about sell out but lets face it, things change, bands change and there hasn't been that much of a stray here.
It appears sepia and black and white are around to make everything more scary and the JuJu man in flour face sorta cracked me up.. The random nuns were extras from American Horror story and for GODS SAKE lose that silly make up you're not KISS. The new album, 'The Manticore and Other Horrors" is released in the US on October 30th.
And this being said. Grindermans video is better. Proving low budget can prevail over big budget but that whining about it is tacky.
