Watch Madonna giving us a history lesson! On Monday night, she gave a long political speech during her MDNA show in Washington DC, talking about Abraham Lincoln to Martin Luther King to Obama, browsing history as if she was a real scholar. At this point, you may wonder whether Madonna, with her Evian bottle in one hand and the black-panthers-look of her toy boys behind her, has become the strongest civil rights advocate in the country.
But, at 2:00 of this video she completely lost it and made the crazy declaration:
‘Y'all better vote for fucking Obama, okay? For better or for worse, we have a black Muslim in the White House’
Oh yeah, this is gonna help the president! Isn’t it what Obama has been fighting against since the beginning of his first campaign? Does he really need such an endorsement?
We all know that some people are still believing he is a black Muslim, and even though she was probably provoking these people and mocking them, this is not a good move and it is probably deserving her goal.
Madonna, you should never over-estimate people’s intelligence, skip the bad joke, you aren’t a stand-up comedian, you are just an entertainer. I would hate to sound like this Texas sheriff who inappropriately said to Fiona Apple recently, ‘Shut up and sing’, but Madonna would deserve it in this case.
