The UK hit The Inbetweeners closed up shop with a full length motion picture back in 2011. We inhabitants of the USA were forced to sit and pout knowing we wouldn't see this for at least a year. Well our wait is finally over and we actually get some perks for our pain.
The film opens this Friday September 7th at a very limited number of theaters. VERY limited…as in 10. That's all we get 10 theaters and a limited run.
Here is the official description:
This is the original Inbetweeners movie, the classic 2011 British coming-of-age comedy film based on the E4 sitcom, “The Inbetweeners.” The film follows the misadventures of a group of teenage friends on holiday in Crete after the end of their final year at school together, and currently serves as an ending to the classic UK series.
and the 'plot':
Join Will, Simon, Jay and Neil as they go on mental holiday in Malia in pursuit of booze, fanny, minge, sex and booze. It's one wild week they're sure to never forget if only the can remember what happened in the morning. They're out of school, out of the country and out of their league.
The perk? Ohhh well
Boston gets Neil, aka Blake Harrison on Friday, September 7 for a Q&A after the 6:50pm show and to introduce the 9:35pm show.
New York? You get Jay, aka James Buckley, and series co-creator Iain Morris Friday and Saturday. They'll do a Q&A after the 7:40 p.m. shows and will also introduce the 10:20 p.m. shows.
LA gets WILL, bastards… Simon Bird.
I'm hitting Boston, Iman is taking New York and YOU should get to the closest cinema for your shot at seeing what I predict to be the coolest film of the summer.
