This post looks like something coming from People magazine, but since the two are famous musicians… I don’t follow these things very closely so I would have been the last to know, but apparently, nobody had seen this one coming: Avril Lavigne and Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger are getting married, and I guess the real surprise is that very few people even knew about their romantic relationship in the first place.
They first got together in February to write a song for Lavigne’s upcoming fifth album, and just six months later, they are getting married! The ‘Sk8er Boi’ girl likes her men a little older than her (she is 27, he is 37) as she was previously married to Sum 41's frontman Deryck Whibley.
Lavigne’s rep confirmed the engagement to People magazine, and we now know that Kroeger proposed her with a 14-carat diamond ring on August 8. I couldn’t care less for both of their musics, so I would be surprised if anything interesting would come from this Canadian pop-punk-rock union, but I wish them good luck!
