Apparently the concept of the show must go on is a puzzlement to many current musicians. The reply appears to be, the show must go on unless we feel like doing something else, in which case, no, in fact, it mustn't go on. Frank Ocean blew off a European tour, we don't know why, and then Nicki Minaj blew off Summer Jam because a DJ didn't like "Starships" and followed it up by blowing off the V2 Fest and a Dublin concert. When fans howled, this is what Nicki had to say on twitter according to contactmusic.com: "I am so thankful to my true fans who understand Why I couldn't play#VFestival & why I can't play Dublin. Absolutely gutted"However, if u have anything negative to say to me, please EatShitAndDie – I am human" clearly not content with using capital letters to get her point across. Frustrated with her fans moaning at her on twitter, the rapper continued on her remarkable tirade: "I will not let you people make me feel horrible for a fucking health issue! That's what got me in this mess! I should have listened to the doctor! Like people are hitting me telling me I should've mimed. No! Then you would have made a fucking story out of that too! killyafuckingself."
It seems to me that you are never getting to heaven if you tell your fans to killyafukingself for questioning why their plans to go to a festival have been ruined through your illness. Gutted? Like hell.
Incidentally, while I have read some very positive reviews of her Roseland gig, when I saw Minaj last year opening for Britney Spears, she was simply terrible, so my opinion remains constant: as a rapper she was born to be a Foxy Brown team player and her pop songs are as good as the manufacturers warranty on them
