Do you remember before the whole ‘mother of twins’, American Idol judge thing, Jenny from the block was famous for her ass? Well now you get to see that 43 year old back side in three dimensions.
A concert film is in the works for Jennifer Lopez, as seems to be the trend with many pop starts today. I suppose it’s a nice economical way to see a performer live. Katy Perry did it and I’m not so sure how that grossed financially but you can be sure it was pretty ‘gross’ in general. I realize the cost o touring is astronomical and the reward very fleeting but can these concert experiences really compensate for the lack of live act?
Some will claim it is better with close ups and quips but I still have a problem with Jumbo Trons at concerts. Live is live and should remain as such or it simply isn’t live.
The performer's manager Benny Medina confirmed the news to Extra TV .
'The film will chronicle the last few years in Jennifer's life as she faced big changes,' Benny said. 'Her instinct is to get right back up, go on the road and 'dance again'.'
Lopez quit American Idol at the end of last season in preparation to return to the concert stage for singing and dancing. Are her fans still out there? A reunion tour might work but it all comes down to her fan demographic. How old are ‘Jenny from the block’s fans? Surely old enough to have better things to do than watch her on film. Unlike Beiber or Perry, teenagers tend to have less mobility to see acts so it makes sense to have them on the big screen
