Not a bad line up, ay? Those are just a smidgen of the artists who recorded with Columbia Records or a subsidiary. 125 years of non stop musical madness and in honor of this there is a book on the horizon
"360 Sound: The Columbia Records Story" will be out on October 30 via Chronicle Books. The deluxe edition will include a second book by Dave Marsh showcasing selection of 263 recordings from the label that he considers of "great musical and historical significance". A thumb drive is included in the package with all 263 songs. That thumb drive bit is a very cool feature.
The release of 360 Sound: The Columbia Records Story will kick off with a launch event in New York on Oct. 30th and a retrospective exhibit at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles.
