White Stripes Rarities From 'The Vault"

The White Stripes were fabulous and although I am in the minority.  A lot of people feel that The Stripes were either white noise or hipsters in overdrive.  Having seen them live and hearing them recorded I can say with conviction, they were greater than they were ever given credit for.  It is also a great thing that they ended abruptly.  Bands like that should be flashes of greatness.  It leaves a cleaner image.  Nothing is worse than watching a  great band fall apart.

Jack White is a freak but a genius and is offering up a 7” vinyl of their first ever live show.  Distributed by Whites company Third Man Records, ‘Vault’ series.  ‘Vault’ is a subscription service that serves up quarterly goodies to its payers.  This recording is from July 14, 1997 at the Golden Dollar in Detroit Michigan.  An open mic night that will go down in infamy for the Striped ones.  This is a soundboard recording so luckily that crappy background mumbo jumbo will be minimalized.    “Jimmy The Explorer” is featured as are covers of “Love Potion #9” and “St James Infirmary”

Also included in this quarters offering is a Gold Dollar 12” recorded on August 1997 with constitutes the bands first full length concert and includes a wicked cover of “TV Eye”.  Oh and you’ll also get a tote bag with the White Stripe logo on it and of course the vinyl is red..all for subscribing to the vault.  Hurry thought, if you want this package you must subscribe before July 31 or you’ll miss out.
