The Bloomfest is happening again in Los Angeles on July 21st, and the festival is growing every year. I remember going the first year, and there was barely one stage, whereas they have three this year, and one will be truly punk rock with Mike Watt in the lineup!
Located within the 52-block boundaries of the Downtown Arts District, the festival will feature, beside live music, good food and eco-friendly fun. It is actually a fascinating neighborhood, where disused industrial buildings have been transformed into art studios and homes for artists.
Last year, I saw Grouplove, Eastern Conference Champions, Voxhaul Broadcast among others, but this time, who am I gonna decide for beside Mike Watt and the Missingmen? The only artists in the lineup I am really familiar with is the excellent Echo Park quintet NO, but this will be more bands to discover,… also I have heard good things about Superhumanoids.
Check out the lineup, and did I say it was a free festival?
