What Do Musicians Want To Be Buried With?

The Houston Press has some interesting details about certain items rock stars were buried with,… it can be a morbid fascination we all have, let’s face it, but it is also a very old custom, so here we go:

Frank Sinatra was buried with a flask full of Jack Daniel’s, cigarettes, a lighter, and a roll of dimes. Honestly, did he think there was a casino after life?

Leonard Bernstein was buried with a lucky penny and a copy of Lewis Carroll’s 'Alice in Wonderland', as he apparently loved the book. Quite harmless!

Whitney Houston was buried with $500,000 worth of jewelry and designer clothes. Now this is ridiculous,… think about what this money could have done on earth in her name.

And GG Allin? Buried with his song ‘When I Die’ (they don’t say under what form, a recording? A K-7? A vinyl?) and a bottle of Jim Beam…Really, not even $500,000 worth of heroin?

Heavy metal guitarist Dimebag Darrell was quite logically buried with Van Halen’s famous yellow and black Charvel electric guitar, thanks to Eddie’s generosity.

INXS Michael Hutchence was buried with a cigarette left by his brother and a gram of heroin left by Paula Yates, the mother of his daughter.

Bob Marley? Well he was buried with weed! So surprising, isn’t it? But also with a soccer ball and the Bible.

Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Ronnie Van Zant is rumored to have been buried with a Neil Young t-shirt, the same one he is wearing on the cover of ‘Street Survivors’ adding more mystery to the story that the two songwriters hated each other.

And Britney Spears, who is still alive of course, declared in 2006 she wanted to be buried with her Chihuahua Lucky! This is what she said: ‘You know how the Pharaohs used to get buried with things they loved? I want to do that with Lucky. She should be laid to rest with me when the time comes." Britney, Britney let me clarify something, first of all there are big chances your dog will die way before you do, but if you die first, you would kill her to be buried with her? That’s the most horrific idea I have ever heard coming from a pop star.
